What a night that was! And today I feel decidedly dodgy.
Oh my.

The next meeting will be at Nigel's in January sometime. I'll try and drink just slightly less.

How'd the game of dart'zZ go??? No perfect games I presume...

Roger, it's funny how reading your crisp clear comment above really makes your jumbled writing on the other page seem truly drunken!

Reminds me of my drunken letters I used to write after coming back from the pub when I lived alone in Stepney , before Hazel showed me the error of my ways! They seemed such pearls of wisdom when I wrote them but reading them in the cold light of the next day they were revealed as the drunken jibberings of an idiot!

I wrote that because I couldn't go to bed on account of the spinning room. According to Jill I fell asleep at my desk soon after. I know... drinking's not very clever.

The dartz was fun, Ed. Won a few, lost a few, some fell out the board...

Some of my best jibbering has been done whilst I've been in my cups. Again, to Bukowski... how did he do that ? Write all night, while consuming vast quantities of beer and wine (granted lots has been edited out) but he came up with some good stuff under these conditions.

Wasn't there a famous Irish poet also famous for being just a tad too Irish? Name of Dylan Thomas?

Yes there was, except he was Welsh. (I mention that so as not to upset any Welsh bloggers).
In fact, alcohol and writing do often go together.

For me, though, I don't drink a lot at all. Although it's the second time this year I've been drunk.

Hope it's not becoming a habit.

That must be why you've written twice as many good poems this year as I have.

How many good poems did you write then?
