Still in cat mode. The best of these "cat brings in a present" poems must be Jan Dean's. But it has become a bit of a poetry cliche. Hence this poem. And... er... apologies to cat lovers...
I very much dote on cats but surely that's just Karma. I'd frequently step out my front door and discover what can only be described as the Hugh Place Chainsaw Massacre.

We had a cat once that used to leave us dead fleas on the doorstep.
I suppose that's poetic justice, although the cats appear to be plotting in the corner quils poised
