As pages turn beneath wayward fingers
And light falls in remote corners,
We can hear the ceasless' silent, shuffle ?????

Hoping to learn a new and useful skill, I once borrowed a big book from the British Library titled
"How to Hum"

Actually, I was hoping it had an appendix "How to Hum and Whistle at the Same Time" I had a schoolfriend called Herbert who could do that. He could also pound this right buttock with his clenched fist to make himself f**t. God knows how he worked that one.

Bloody letdown! The book was volume 19 of a huge Encyclopedia.
