Why Otters Don't Wear Socks

Whoops!

A million little dinosaurs
Having a good time
One fell over a cliff
And then there were
nine hundred and ninety nine thousand,
nine hundred and ninety nine.

Nine hundred and ninety nine thousand,
nine hundred and ninety nine dinosaurs
Having lots of fun
An asteroid hit the Earth
and then there were none.

Been busy this year and haven't had time to do much blogging - alas. Have been working on the new CD - At the meeting of the Earth and the Air. (More of that soon) and - great news - my new children's book is out. This is the cover and one of the poems. Hopefully I can visit everyone soon and catch up on what's been happening on the blog. Hope you're all well.

i always thought it was because they'd be forever getting wet and then staying in wet socks gives you a cold!

:)

How are you? Happy New Year!

Great gimick of a poem! It made me laugh heartily to see the play on words. It's the simple things in life, like sometimes just repeating a phrase, that brings true joy! I also like that you completely disregarded the rules of poetry to write this... it's when rules are broken that true beauty is found.

I appologize for using two cliches in one paragraph, but it was necessary to express myself best.

I loved this poem. Nothing better than humor for kids.
