I'm looking for a way to sleep whilst still writing my course work still the next course looks promising on that front. Just finished the creative writing boo hoo now for Twentieth Century Literary texts and debates, double boo hoo, roll on the next creative writing one, can't wait.
Love the intimacy of fjords and so many lovely pictures in it, gorgeous and this one particularly the first verse made me smile, it is that thing of alien sounds mixed with the familiar. I find the sounds anywhere new are much more startling, as if the primeval in me is still worried it will get eaten. But I don't think you should do much to it I like it as it is.Sue hardy-Dawsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09303253173299793670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7702442.post-74585227931086853142007-10-11T06:46:00.000+01:002007-10-11T06:46:00.000+01:00nice words. hope you are well.nice words. hope you are well.Shubhodeephttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14531807048596430649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7702442.post-81767276279234672332007-09-30T19:44:00.000+01:002007-09-30T19:44:00.000+01:00I'm not sure how I got here, but I know I liked th...I'm not sure how I got here, but I know I liked the name... and now that I'm "here", I also like the writing.Anonymous Boxerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11280822962202098606noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7702442.post-1121049708430842182007-09-30T10:31:00.000+01:002007-09-30T10:31:00.000+01:00Hi Ricecar, thought I'd pop along to your blog - b...Hi Ricecar, thought I'd pop along to your blog - but it wouldn't let me in. I wouldn't mind, but it's chilly out here and looks like it might rain later. I can appreciate the creaking bones bit- I tend to creak quite lot, especially when I first wake up- signs of growing older. Must eat more oliy fish- it's suppoed to be good for creaky joints? Or do you rub it on the outside?

That long awaited CD is taking it's time but well worth it I'm sure from what we heard at Easter= gosh, it seems so long ago!wastedpapiershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06833050707322694789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7702442.post-62608004303235182492007-09-25T16:56:00.000+01:002007-09-25T16:56:00.000+01:00Well, it's been a busy summer. A few weeks holiday in France, where we bought a house, a week in Norway cruising the fjords (see previous poem)and then selling our house in East Sussex. We now live in London.
The new CD still isn't quite ready - still waiting for the cover. But a new CD of myself reading poems (check out Why Otters Don't Wear Socks in amazon audio) and a big format poetry book with some fellow poets. Right now though working on a book for teachers.
And sitting in a rather dreary hotel room - while Jill attends the Labour party Conference in Bournemouth working with the Citizens Advice Bureau. (See latest poem - a bit rough and ready. Needs some work to be honest. Hey ho!)Roger Stevenshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08393920954647379508noreply@blogger.com
